2010 Results for Limited Brands' Day of Donation

More than 90 local and regional not-for-profit agencies participated in the 2010 shopping event. Combined, the organizations selected 340,000 units of product. With an average price of $10 per unit—the total impact equals $3.4 million! We hope that the assortment of items will help organizations add value to the services provided to their clients, as well as reward their dedicated volunteers. Limited Brands is proud to partner with these organizations to help make a difference.

For more than five years, Limited Brands has hosted a “Day of Donation” for our Columbus community partners. Limited Brands extends an offer to various Central Ohio non-profit, United Way-affiliated agencies to take part in this exclusive shopping event. Organizations have the opportunity to select merchandise that, in turn, assists their internal client and volunteer programs. The product available includes items from Bath and Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Pink, C.O. Bigelow and Henri Bendel. The merchandise offered is a result of a variety of factors including labeling or packaging changes, discontinued products, excess items from quality testing and gift set components.

 

Invitations are sent to nearly 150 Central Ohio non-profits to participate in this private event held over three days.  In addition, we sometimes ship and donate product to key social service partners in our other home office communities of Kettering, Ohio; New York City; and Rio Rancho, N.M.
