Limited Brands Associates Volunteer to help Children's Hunger Alliance's Skate into the Holidays

Limited Brands in partnership with Children's Hunger Alliance gave more than 600 children an afternoon of holiday cheer.

Nearly 70 Limited Brands volunteers assisted Children's Hunger Alliance with their annual Skate into the Holidays event at Nationwide Arena. Limited Brands volunteers greeted children as they arrived, helped them with their ice skates and on the ice, as well as served food and helped them make arts and crafts. This marked the event's fifth season at the arena made possible by private donations and in-kind contributors.

"Last year was the first time I volunteered at this event helping kids tie their skates and it inspired me to return again this year. I remember that one boy didn't have socks on, and you need socks to wear the skates, so I took my socks off and gave them to him. He loved that," said Jen Romey, a Limited Brands volunteer.

Since 2000, Limited Brands has partnered with Children's Hunger Alliance on various volunteer projects. Children's Hunger Alliance serves many less fortunate youth in the Columbus area to provide nutritional, physical and educational programs, held at sites such as churches, recreational centers, and Boys and Girls Clubs.
